Description

Roman Chomomile (Chamaemelum nobile) is a plant native to Morocco and Europe. Traditionally, Roman chamomile has been used to treat nausea, vomiting, heartburn, insomnia, and gas. It is often used today to relieve anxiety, and to soothes and softens irritated skin.

Used on the skin, it may also reduce inflammation from cuts or hemorrhoids. It is sometimes used to ease the discomfort from eczema and gingivitis (swollen gums) Aso for ear ache,  Muscular spasm and contraction, rheumatism, menstrual cramp, rashes, acne, eczema, psoriasis, skin irritations, sunburn, dental and teething problems, insomnia, anxiety, nervousness, depression, stress-related conditions, insect bites and stings.

Side effects are very uncommon and may include nausea, dizziness, and allergic reactions. Rare cases of anaphylaxis (a life-threatening allergic reaction) have occurred in people who consumed or came into contact with chamomile products.

Avoid it if you are allergic to these plants: Chamomile, Ragweed, Daisies, Marigolds, or Chrysanthemums.Skin creams with chamomile can cause allergic eczema and irritate the eyes.The effects of long-term chamomile use aren’t known.
