Description
Frankincense Carterii Resin is a hardened gum-like material (Resin) that comes from the trunk of the Boswellia Carterii tree. People infuse it in a carrier oil, and then use the oil on the skin and in lotions and perfumes. The resin is often used in aroma therapy burners,etc. The frankincense infused oil seems to kill some types of bacteria and fungi (yeasts). The oil is also commonly used as a fragrance in soaps, lotions, and perfumes.
Some people keep a few resin pieces for a few minutes in their mouth, until it softens to release the boswellic acid which may assist in killing yeast infections in the mouth. Never swallow the resin.
